Advice about heading into the medical coding profession?

I've been working in the medical field for 3 years now. I've done hospital admin, billing, grunt work for medical coders, etc. I've always thought I wanted to do coding and have started looking into the AAPC program online. My question is for the money which coding program would be best, the CPC, or the CPC-H? It looks like the CPC you learn more knowledge of general info but I want the most bang for my buck.
