If your son's family don't keep him threw the year but want to take him to the family reunion?

would you let them.even though his father is not going&it's in another state&your son is deaf in one ear&has autism&they really don't know how to handle him like you do&you feel like there just using him because they don't want to look crazy being at someone else's family reunion.It's my son's family but none of the rest that are going is biologically related to these people.But this is the only time of the year I get a break from my son.don't get me wrong they are good people.
