Why does my ear keep plugging up?

For the past week or so my right ear has felt like it`s been plugging up. Every so often it just plugs up and I go like part deaf for a few seconds until I touch it or something. I`m very concerned. I take care of my ears, so why is the one ear always plugging up? Today is scared me really bad because it like completely plugged up and I couldn`t hear anything out of it until I stretched my ear open. It feels like it`s plugged up with ear wax or something but when I put part of a cloth in or something, there`s nothing. It`s really freaking me out. I don`t want to go deaf, I`m only 18. Please help me out!
