Medical Biller/Coder Will I Survive With This Job?

In this economy there's no saying whether you'll lose a job, but I have two friends who've been coders for over 20 years (one, for 30+ years) and they've been steadily employed. I don't know what their income is because you just don't ask people that -- but you could call a few local hospitals and ask what their pay range is. As long as the insurance companies are running the medical system in this country, coders will be employed...
